About Us
Iglesias Abundantes aims to strengthen and support Hispanic Baptist congregations in Texas through a congregational learning experience that will help them explore the context of their ministry, gain clarity about their unique mission given by God, adapt their ministries, and thrive in serving their communities and the Kingdom.
Our History
The Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas received a grant of $999,839 from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish the Iglesias Abundantes program, which was launched in 2021.

Since then, each year, ten churches have the opportunity to participate in a congregational learning experience where they explore the challenges, opportunities, resources, and practices that help address the demands of their ministries. Congregations are guided to develop individualized goals and have the opportunity to receive financial resources of up to $9,000 to implement their action plan.
This year, retreats will be held in different parts of Texas, and new spaces will be opened for more congregations to join this revitalization process.
